The Tree of Life​ and the Way of the Righteous​

Preaching from Psalm 1, Jesse traced a consistent theme that runs from Genesis to Revelation: God lovingly warns humanity that there are just two destinies. The psalm’s blessed man and perishing wicked man mirror the tree of life and the tree of death in Eden, the narrow gate and wide gate in Jesus’ teaching, and the new Jerusalem and lake of fire in Revelation. Because every biblical figure stumbles, our hope cannot rest in our own resolve. Instead, God Himself acted—sending Jesus, the true righteous Man, who bore the curse on the cross to open the only way to life. Believers can now stay on that righteous path through the Spirit, Scripture, prayer, and the fellowship of the church.
