Paul answers the Corinthians’ questions about sex, marriage, and singleness by showing that both marriage and celibate singleness are gifts from God, designed for purity, partnership, prayer, and mission. Sex inside the covenant of marriage is good and protective; singleness, properly embraced, creates unique freedom for undivided devotion to the Lord. Whichever season we are in, deep contentment comes from receiving God’s assignment and living selflessly for His glory.
